PS Ball – Versatile, Eco-Friendly Aggregate for Various Industrial Applications

PS Ball is a spherical artificial aggregate produced by quenching molten slag, a byproduct of steelmaking, under high temperature and pressure. Its low dust generation and absence of free silica make it an ideal choice for blasting operations in safe environments. Compliant with ISO Standard 11126-6 and KS D 9553, PS Ball is widely used across multiple industries for its unique properties and versatility.

1. Cement Raw Material: Iron Ore Substitute

• High AI2O3 Content: PS Ball contains approximately three times more AI2O3 and lower Fe2O3 compared to iron ore, making it effective for equipment coating prevention and material adjustment.
• Improved Cement Quality: It helps maintain an optimal balance of clinker minerals in cement, enhancing later strength without compromising early strength, thus improving overall cement quality.

2. Abrasives and Burners

• High Hardness: With a Vickers hardness of 739.8 (test load: 500g), PS Ball is an excellent choice for abrasive materials and burners.
• Ideal for Ship Repair: Although not ideal for repeated use, its high hardness makes PS Ball perfect for shot blasting applications in the ship repair industry.

3. Cement Brick Aggregate

• High Specific Gravity: PS Ball has a density of 2.3 kg/l, compared to quartz sand’s 1.7 kg/l, resulting in heavier bricks.
• Black Appearance: After molding, PS Ball bricks exhibit a distinctive black color.
• Equivalent Compressive Strength: These bricks maintain a compressive strength of 100–120 kg/㎠, almost identical to traditional sand bricks.
